MARINE COLLAGEN + PLANT OMEGA-3 DHA + GRAPE POLYPHENOLS + VITAMINS B5+C

1. MARINE COLLAGEN

From France, a hitherto unexploited resource, fish skin, with 7x less carbon impact than bovine collagen!

Collagen was naturally consumed by our ancestors, who fed more on the parts of animals containing the most collagen, such as skin, cartilage and bones. Collagen is compatible with a paleo-friendly diet.

Ithas always been used in Japan, where it is recognised as being particularly biocompatible or bioactive, as well as being highly bioavailable.

  • It consists of proteins in the form of hydrolysed peptides (enzymatic hydrolysis) bioactive natural marine collagen from a sustainable development approach (ASC Aquaculture Stewardship Council, BAP Best Aquaculture Practice, and MSC sustainable fishing labels).
  • Molecular weight = 4 kilodaltons (kDa). This is a low molecular weight, optimised for maximum assimilation.
  • Particularly rich in amino acids - glycine, proline and hydroxyproline - involved in collagen synthesis and connective tissue regeneration.
  • In the brain, glycine is also a cofactor in the production of serotonin (the 'happy hormone'), which helps to control our emotions and therefore helps us to stay calm and fall asleep.
  • Also rich in glutamine , which contributes to acid-base balance and intestinal cell repair, and therefore supports the immune system.
  • Non-GMO - Fat free - Carbohydrate and sugar free - Preservative free
  • No ionisation treatment - No radioactivity
  • Rigorous manufacturing standards - Quality in compliance with ISO 9001 - ISO 22000
  • Halal certification
  • 100% fish origin: no BSE risk for bovine collagen, no bird flu risk for chicken collagen
  • The peptide form comes from natural collagen cut to provide smaller pieces (enzymatic hydrolysis) and therefore more easily digested.
  • Neutraltaste with no aftertaste
  • It is particularly suitable when collagen protein intake is insufficient and/or needs are increased: advanced age, convalescence, sporting activities, pregnancy or breast-feeding... To (re)find joint mobility, muscle strength, tissue elasticity and improve overall well-being.
  • It is also suitable for (re)improving skin quality and intestinal comfort, fighting inflammation in general, and helping to control emotions.

Good to know:

  • Collagen is a component naturally present in the body (muscles, skin, bones, tendons, cartilage, hair, nails, etc.) where it plays a major role in support and/or elasticity.
  • From the age of 25, collagen production in humans decreases by 1.5% per year.
  • By the age of 45, the body produces around 1/3 less collagen, leading to a loss of tissue tone (joints, muscles, skin, etc.), a loss of mobility and a loss of the overall "youthful" appearance.
  • Today 's diet - sometimes unbalanced, overly industrial, with a preference for lean meat with no bones or cartilage - tends towards a lower consumption of external collagen.
  • So an extra supply of bioactive collagen - rich in the amino acids that are key to the formation of type I collagen - helps to stimulate and revive the body's own collagen metabolism. In joint cartilage, the hydrolysed peptides in our marine collagen also stimulate the production of chondrocytes, the cells involved in the synthesis of type II collagen.

Studies and scientific evidence :

  • Supplementation with 5 to 10 g / day of bioactive fish collagen peptides was carried out for 12 to 14 weeks.
  • Significant results were observed as early as 6 weeks on various functions.

2. DHA-type OMEGA-3

It has been scientifically proven that fatty acids are essential because they cannot be synthesised by the human body. They must therefore be included in the daily diet.

From a general point of view, essential fatty acids, in particularOmega-3 in general, and DHA in particular, have a protective role on the cardiovascular system and the brain.

DHA helps to thin the blood and reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels; it also helps to reduce platelet aggregation in the arteries, thereby limiting the risk of atherosclerotic plaques and clots in the vessels, to maintain a healthy heart.

In the brain, DHAhelps to reduce inflammation because it is a precursor of the molecules involved in the anti-inflammatory process, and helps to make the walls of the brain more fluid, thereby improving the transmission of nerve signals and ensuring that the brain functions properly.
More specifically, the main benefit of these omega-3s is to reinforce synaptic plasticity, i.e. the ability of neurons to connect to each other, helping to explain the existence of numerous forms of memory in the nervous system. They also reduce oxidative stress, which particularly affects brain cells.

Here we have selected an extract of the algae Schizochytrium sp., whose oil is rich in long-chain Omega 3 fatty acids of the DHA type (or docosahexaenoic acid).

  • It is the best plant-based alternative to fish oil thanks to its high DHA content (minimum 40% in the oily form).
  • Microalgae are a sustainable superfood, less harmful to the environment and climate: rich in various nutritional compounds such as proteins, amino acids, fatty acids and other essential nutrients, and requiring minimal resources for their growth, algae are a solution for feeding the world without destroying it.
  • Our product has been stabilised with natural antioxidants such as tocopherols, resulting in a high-quality, effective product.
  • Non-irradiated
  • Vegan certified
  • Free from allergens such as milk, eggs, nuts and gluten.

Good to know:

  • 60% of the brain's mass is made up offatty acids, 70% of which are omega-3. These are mainly DHA-type omega-3s (long chains), which improve the fluidity of the brain's membranes.
  • Omega-3s are involved in a number of brain functions that protect against inflammation, including
    • Learning and memory: DHA is particularly involved in memory functions. It is involved in nerve signal transmission.
    • Maintaining mental health (depression, dementia including Alzheimer's disease):
      > Some studies have shown a link between emotional imbalance and omega-3 deficiency. These studies are fairly recent (12 years) but very encouraging.
      > Studies in favour of a positive effect of omega-3s include Nemets' study, carried out on depressed children (for whom it is more difficult to prescribe anti-depressant medication), and Jayazeri's study on adults, where 1000 mg of EPA per day proved to be as effective as fluoxetine (Prozac).
      > Other studies have shown the role of omega-3s in brain plasticity, in combating neuro-inflammation, in reducing cognitive disorders and in preventing the onset of stress, anxiety and depression.
    • Combating ageing: studies show that by helping to reduce inflammatory reactions, omega-3 helps to preserve the size of telomeres, the specialised sections of DNA that act as 'protective caps' to ensure that chromosomes are faithfully copied during cell division.
Telomere shortening has been associated with cognitive decline, but also with cancer and heart disease, ageing and premature death; longer telomeres mean longer life expectancy, hence the beneficial role of omega-3.
    • Pregnancy: a good omega-3 status helps mothers to keep their spirits high throughout pregnancy and after childbirth; in babies, omega-3 fatty acids are also necessary for the proper development of the brain, nervous system and vision.

3. POLYPHENOLS FROM GRAPE EXTRACT

We have selected a powdered extract obtained from red grape juice (Vitis vinifera L.) from a Sicilian grape variety which, thanks to its content of antioxidants such as protective polyphenols, anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins (malvidin, delphinidin, epicatechins, catechins, etc.), is capable of improving cognitive performance in the elderly by acting onattention and immediate and delayed memory.

Better cognitive performance has an indirect impact on mood and quality of life.

Good to know:

  • We are constantly called upon by an uninterrupted flow of data. In this context, improving attention, language and memory performance has become a requirement for adapting and performing in modern life for young people and adults alike.
  • Worldwide, the number of people suffering from age-related health problems, such as cognitive decline, is increasing.

Studies and scientific evidence:

  • Supplementation with 250mg / day of this grape juice extract was carried out for 12 weeks.
  • Significant results were observed on various functions.
  • MMS test: the Mini Mental State (MMS) consists of 30 questions and is scored out of 30 points. Thistest assesses a person's cognitive functions and memory capacity. An increase of more than 1 point on this scale was observed over 12 weeks.
  • RBANS test: clinical data over 12 weeks showed that the total score had a variation of +6.2% and that there was a significant improvement in several clinical scores relating toattention, language, visuo-spatial and visuo-constructive skills, and immediate and delayed memory.
  • In addition, an improvement inmood was observed over 12 weeks, which could be linked to better cognitive performance and to the subjects' general neuropsychological state: change in the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) of 15.8%; change in the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) of 24.9%.

4. VITAMIN B5

A VITAMIN FOR THE NORMAL FUNCTIONING OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Vitamin B5 (or pantothenic acid) is involved in a large number of the body's functions and energy metabolism reactions, including the storage and mobilisation of carbohydrates (sugars), lipids (fats) and amino acids. It plays a role in the production of haemoglobin and is also involved in the manufacture of certain neurotransmitters (nerve impulse messengers), the functioning of the adrenal glands and the synthesis of steroid hormones. Overall, it is essential for tissue growth.

Vitamin B5 is known to contribute to normal intellectual performance and plays a major role in the proper functioning of the nervous system. Necessary for the production of various neurotransmitters, including melatonin, vitamin B5 also contributes to the normal synthesis of steroid hormones and vitamin D, and helps to reduce fatigue. It also contributes to normal intellectual performance, such as memory, reasoning and concentration.

Vitamin B5 generally finds its main sources in the animal kingdom. These include brewer's yeast, cooked lamb, poultry and heifer liver, offal, cooked veal, lamb or pork kidneys and poultry liver pâté. Fortified breakfast cereals, which can also be eaten daily, are also a good choice. To make sure you don't miss out on this essential vitamin, smoked trout, button mushrooms, wheat germ and eggs are a good source.

Here we have selected buckwheat sprout powder, which is particularly rich in natural vitamin B5.

Its major functions on the brain are

  • Contributes to normal intellectual performance
  • Contributes to normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and certain neurotransmitters (messengers of nerve impulses).

5. VITAMIN C

A VITAMIN TO COMBAT CELL AGEING LINKED TO OXIDATIVE STRESS

It also plays an important role in metabolism and the normal functioning of various biochemical reactions in the body. Not least in the synthesis of collagen!

Vitamin C (or ascorbic acid) is a major vitamin found in fruit and vegetables. Our bodies do not have the capacity to synthesise it, and food is the only way to obtain the necessary and sufficient supply. It is sensitive to cooking and air. It is therefore important to eat fresh fruit and vegetables quickly to retain all their vitamin C content.

Its main benefits are to reduce fatigue, combat oxidation and cell ageing, and strengthen the immune system.

Here we have selected organic acerola powder, a fruit that is particularly rich in natural vitamin C.

Its major functions are

  • Helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
